Below are the initial player snap counts from the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night over the Baltimore Ravens, according to the NFL official gamebook. We will see if any of these differ in our weekly game charting as the week progresses.
Martavis Bryant played just five snaps less than Markus Wheaton did Sunday night and one would think this will likely be the amount of snaps he plays in a game moving forward. The steelers used two tight end groupings quite a bit against the Ravens and this is reflected by tight end Matt Spaeth playing 29 snaps. Rookie running back Dri Archer only played three snaps on offense as he continues to struggle to see the field.
Defensively for the Steelers, nose tackle Steve McLendon played 36 snaps in his return to the lineup and that should be the amount of plays the defense was in base when you consider that cornerback Antwon Blake played the same amount of snaps.
