LeGarrette Blount Thanks Steelers; Apologizes To Former Teammates, Fans

Several hours after signing with the New England Patriots on Thursday, running back LeGarrette Blount took to Twitter to thank the Pittsburgh Steelers organization and wish his former teammates well. Blount also apologized for the way things ended with the Steelers.

Blount, who walked off the field Monday night before the game against the Tennessee Titans ended, says he “made a poor decision” and that it is one that he will “definitely grow from.”

I’m not sure Hallmark makes a card that expresses remorse for acting like a selfish asshole, so I guess Blount’s social media message will have to suffice.

After Blount was waived by the Steelers on Tuesday, several players didn’t seem to be surprised or upset that he will no longer be around.

Who knows, maybe these two teams will get to face one another in the playoffs this year. If that winds up happening, you can expect to hear Blount’s name quite a bit in media stories leading up to that game.
