2014 NFL Week 12 Stats: Adjusted Net Yards Per Passing Attempt Differential

With 12 weeks of 2014 NFL season is now in the books, here are your updated adjusted net yards per passing attempt differential stats (ANY/A) for all 32 teams.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were off on their bye in Week 12 so obviously there is no change in their numbers from last week. The Steelers do, however, play the New Orleans Saints this Sunday and they currently sport the second worst defensive ANY/A number in the league. When you consider that the Saints have also allowed an average of 4.56 yards per carry so far this season, one would think that the Steelers offense should be able to move the ball at will Sunday at Heinz Field. We’ll see.

Even though they won Sunday, the Cleveland Browns saw their differential drop quite a bit in Week 12. We’ll get to see this coming weekend just how good their offense really is as they will play the Buffalo Bills, who enter Week 13 with the best defensive ANY/A number in the league. The Bills are currently favored by 2.5 points at most online sites.

While the Cincinnati Bengals shouldn’t have any problems with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens could have their hands full with the San Diego Chargers at home. Teams haven’t fared too well this season after playing on Monday night, so take that for what it’s worth.

The Green Bay Packers will host the New England Patriots on Sunday and this will be a game you likely won’t want to miss. Those two teams are pretty evenly matched with the slight edge going to the Packers. Look for turnovers to decide that game.

Finally. last year after Week 12 there were seven teams that had a differential of 1.0 or greater and all seven of those teams wound up making the playoffs. In 2012, there were nine teams that had a differential of 1.0 or greater and the Steelers were the only one of those teams that failed to make the playoffs. This year after 12 weeks there are nine teams with 1.0 or greater differential.
