Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount Fined $5,500 For Throwing Football Into Stands

While the Sunday night fourth quarter touchdown run by Pittsburgh Steelers running back LeGarrette Blount against the Carolina Panthers was very impressive, it wound up being an expensive one.

According to Ralph Paulk of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Blount was fined $5,500 for tossing the football into the stands at Bank of America Stadium following his eight yard score.

The No Fun League strikes again and this is one of those silly fines that is tough to ignore. I can understand making Blount pay for the football, but in my opinion, this is really no different that spiking a football after a score.

Below is an animated gif of Blount abusing Panthers safety Thomas DeCoud along with his expensive toss of a souvenir.
