2014 Salary Cap

Steelers Have $311,934 In Salary Cap Space After Signing P Adam Podlesh

Judging by the latest NFLPA update, the contract signed on Wednesday by punter Adam Podlesh was a one year, qualifying contract that comes with a reduced cap charge of $570,000.

It does not appear as though Podlesh was given a signing bonus due to the cap number only displacing $75,000.

Now that the NFLPA has corrected their error associated with the post June 1 release of linebacker LaMarr Woodley, the team now has $311,934.00 in available salary cap space.

The Steelers will receive nearly $8 million in additional cap space following displacement come June and that is more than enough to sign the 2014 draft class and get a few contract extensions done in addition.
