Steelers Sign WR Danny Coale To A Reserve/Futures Contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers added another free agent player to their offseason roster on Tuesday as wide receiver Danny Coale has signed a reserve/futures contract.

Coale was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. Coale suffered a torn ACL in November of 2012 and thus his season as a practice squad player was over. He had also suffered a stress fracture in the first organized team activity that required surgery that spring.

After being waived by the Cowboys last August, Coale was signed briefly to the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

Coale caught 60 passes for 904 yards in his final college season with the Hokies.
