Steelers Emerge From Loss To Dolphins Without Suffering Any Major Injuries

Not that it’s a big deal at this point, but the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to come out of Sunday loss to the Miami Dolphins without any major injuries.

“No major injuries. Just minor bumps and bruises associated with playing,” said head coach Mike Tomlin during his post game press conference.

Nose tackle Steve McLendon, however, did leave the game for a short period of time after it looked like he re-aggravated his ankle injury and defensive end Ziggy Hood also left with a right ankle injury, but managed to return to the game.

The only other in-game injury suffered was to cornerback Ike Taylor. Taylor left briefly in the beginning of the third quarter after colliding with safety Ryan Clark following a completion to Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline. It was officially termed a rib injury and Taylor quickly returned to the field.

The Steelers were without the services Sunday of defensive end Brett Keisel and tackle Kelvin Beachum against the Dolphins. Keisel sat because of a foot injury, while Beachum was nursing a sprained knee.
