Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Will Johnson has left the game against the Washington Redskins with an apparent rib injury after taking a helmet to helmet hit from safety DeJon Gomes in the second quarter.
Johnson was led into the hit by a low pass from Bruce Gradkowski.
The Steelers can ill afford to lose Johnson for any amount of time as he is really the only healthy fullback on the roster right now as David Johnson remains on the PUP list.
The steelers trail the Redskins 17-6 at halftime.
