Steelers Move Friday Night Practice Due To Grass Issues At Latrobe High School

The annual “Friday Night Lights” practice at Latrobe High School has been a tradition for several years as fans fill up the stadium in order to watch a rare practice underneath the lights. This year, however, the annual night practice won\’t take place at the high school as the Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that the practice has been moved to Saint Vincent College because of some issues with the grass.

Unlike the practice at the high school, there won\’t be any charge to attend the Friday night practice at Saint Vincent\’s and the practice is scheduled to get underway at 5:25 p.m. instead of the previous scheduled time of 7:00 p.m.

The players will still sign autographs around the fields starting at 5:00 p.m. and there will be a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. following the conclusion of practice.

If you have already purchased tickets for the practice at the high school, you are asked to call the school\’s office to check on a refund.

Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said Tuesday evening in a statement, “We look forward to returning to Latrobe Memorial Stadium next year.”
