Ravens LB Rolando McClain Arrested Sunday In Alabama

Quite a few in the fanbase were hoping that the Pittsburgh Steelers would sign inside linebacker Rolando McClain after he was waived from the Oakland Raiders earlier this month. I insisted, that despite head coach Mike Tomlin once having high praise for the Alabama product, that the Steelers weren\’t likely to touch him, regardless of the price.

McClain, who I pointed out has had several run-ins with the police since being drafted in the first round of the 2010 draft, has now been arrested once again. Nick Banaszak, of WHNT TV reports Sunday evening that McClain was arrested  Sunday in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident at a local park.

McClain signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Baltimore Ravens less than two weeks ago and the deal allows him to earn another $400,000 through playing-time incentives. The Ravens are hopeful that McClain can fill the shoes left by Ray Lewis, who is now retired, but he certainly isn\’t off to a great start.
