Pouncey Twins Are Working The System To Get Each Other Voted To The 2013 Pro Bowl

The Pouncey twins are working the system real hard in an effort to get each other to the 2013 Pro Bowl as Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida reports on Friday that Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey said there\’s an agreement between Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers players to get both he and his twin brother Maurkice Pouncey voted into the annual All-Star game in Hawaii.

“I had all the guys (on the Dolphins) vote for my brother,’’ said the Miami center, via the Tomasson report. “We can’t vote for each other… No question, (Pittsburgh players will be voting for Mike Pouncey). I’m friends with all those guys (on the Steelers). They respect my game and they watch it, so it’s not like they’re doing anything they aren’t supposed to.\’\’

Players and coaches filled out their Pro Bowl ballots Thursday and Friday and it was revealed on Thursday that Maurkice had won the fan portion of the voting after he was the leading vote getter at the center position for the AFC.

The AFC and NFC teams are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters.

This will likely be a foolproof method for the twins. While Maurkice has had a good season, I personally think Mike has had a better one from a lot of the games I watched this season.

I wonder what kind of waves this news will make, however. The game has become a joke regardless of which players make it and it appears the players voting portion has become very easy to sway as well.
