Report: Still Doesn\’t Look Good That Roethlisberger Will Play After Thursday Practice

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger talked to the media on Thursday and discussed how he has progressed so far in practice in regard to his injured rib and right shoulder.

The talk was prior to the team practicing on Thursday and the Steelers quarterback said that while pain is still an issue, arm strength was a bigger one. He was still holding out hope, however, that he might have a chance to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens just the same.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on Twitter after practice was over that it does not look good that Roethlisberger will play Sunday. That would led you to believe that Thursday practice did not include the Steelers quarterback making progress.

If the report on Thursday stands, Charlie Batch will make his second consecutive start on Sunday in Baltimore. That has been the plan the entire week and it does not look like Roethlisberger will be able to alter it.
