Steelers Injury Report: Redman, Cotchery, Keisel & Sylvester Still Sidelined Tuesday

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (back), defensive end Brett Keisel (ankle), running back Isaac Redman (ankle) and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (knee) all did not practice for a second straight day. Keisel suffered a mild high ankle sprain in the game Saturday against the Buffalo Bills and he is not expected to suit up Thursday night in the Steelers preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers.

Tomlin said the ankle injury that Redman suffered doesn\’t appear to be serious and that he definitely doesn\’t anticipate it keeping him out for the Steelers opener in Denver. That being said, Jonathan Dwyer will get the start at running back Thursday night as Redman is expected to be sidelined.

As far as the quarterback rotation goes for the game Thursday night, all Tomlin would say is that Charlie Batch is going play a bunch. Tomlin also said that there is a chance that nose tackle Casey Hampton (knee) could play Thursday after representing himself well in practice this week
