Report: Keenan Lewis Says Mike Wallace Will Show Up Today

Despite Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace not being spotted by the media this morning at the Steelers facilities, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports now via Twitter that cornerback Keenan Lewis said that his teammate and childhood friend will show up on Monday.

There is speculation that Wallace will sign his tender either today or Tuesday, but due to the fact that Wallace can\’t practice until the end of the week due to the new practice acclimation rules in the CBA, it remains highly unlikely that he will play in the preseason finale Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers.

Cornerback Ike Taylor said a few weeks ago that he was pretty sure that this would be the week that Wallace would show up and several other players have also expressed optimism that this week would be the week as well.

ETA: To add more to the confusion, Andrew Stockey of WTAE-TV now reports via Twitter that Antonio Brown told him that Wallace will report on Tuesday.
