Ben Roethlisberger Voted Week 8 FedEx NFL Air Player Of The Week

Fresh off his his second AFC Offensive Player Of The Week award earlier this week, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has also been voted the week 8 winner of the FedEx NFL Air Player Of The Week award for his 365 yard, two touchdown performance this past week against the New England Patriots. Roethlisberger led the Steelers to 25-17 win over the Patriots by completing 36 of 50 passes on the day as he connected with 9 different Steelers with passes including touchdowns to Antonio Brown and Mewelde Moore.

It was only the second time that Roethlisberger has thrown 50 passes or more in a game and his 36 completions against the Patriots were also the second-most in his career. In a 31-20 loss in Denver back in 2006 he passed 54 times and completed 38 of them. Roethlisberger heads into week 9 with a 64.4% completion ratio and has thrown 14 touchdown passes on the season. He currently sits 5th in the league in passing yardage with 2,302.

Congratulations to Ben on a fine week 8 and his well deserved multiple accolades.
