Below are the offensive personnel packages, play counts and participation chart for the Steelers first preseason game Friday night versus the Redskins. Not much sticks out as far as a first preseason games go. The most noticeable thing would be the amount of snaps that Chris Scott played. In addition, Jonathan Dwyer clearly has the lead for the 4th running back spot right now based on the amount of snaps he received. The thing to watch is if John Clay gets more reps than Dwyer next week. I doubt he will. Arnaz Battle and Tyler Grishan are clearly in a battle for the 6th receiver spot, should the Steelers decide to carry that many once again. Despite is good early showing in camp camp, tight end Jamie McCoy barely sniffed the field as Weslye Saunders saw much of the late tight end/h-back work.
