Steelers Six From Around The Web – Sunday July 24th – Pittsburgh 3 Man Tag Team Edition

The NFLPA and the league\’s owners have reached an agreement on the remaining points needed in their 10-year labor deal and now only requires a majority vote from the players on Monday to finalize the deal to end the lockout. Great news.

Hard not to know now by now that Ben Roethlisberger and Ashley Harlan were married Saturday at Christ Church at Grove Farm in Ohio Township and some pictures from the event are here. Almost all of the Steelers offensive line were included in the wedding and even WWE professional wrestler Triple H and Penguins co-owner Mario Lemieux were in attendance. James Harrison and Mike Tomlin even made it and posed for a picture with Triple H. That would make one hell of a 3 man tag team.

Speaking of Heyward, here is what the base salaries will look like for him and the other 2011 draft picks according to the new proposed labor agreement.

7th round draft pick Baron Batch finished his drive to Pittsburgh last night and is settled into a hotel before he is off to training camp at Latrobe. Batch continues to post updates on Twitter and has picture of his arrival just outside the city and his drive through the tunnel. Has to be an exciting time for that young man and we wish him well.

Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston and Steelers safety Ryan Mundy cosponsored a free youth football clinic Saturday at the Wolvarena in Turtle Creek. Camp counselors included Steelers quarterbacks Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon; wide receiver Wes Lyons; outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley and retired safety Mike Logan to name a few.
