Steelers Six From Around The Web – Tuesday November 16th – Hines Ready For Oakland Edition

Hines Ward says the hit he took Sunday night from Patriots safety James Sanders was a clean hit from his point of view. “It was clean, I think. It was helmet to helmet, though. His helmet hit my helmet on the side. I don\’t know what the league wants. It was a good hit as far as I remember and I remember everything.”

Ward said he will play Sunday against the visiting Oakland Raiders despite being held out by the team doctors Sunday night.

Steelers rookie receiver Emmanuel Sanders talked on 93.7 The Fan about becoming the number two receiver after Ward left the game with a concussion.

Donal Henderson, the agent for Steelers kicker Jeff Reed, said he has not heard anything about the Steelers like or dislike with Reed. The Steelers are expected to bring in free agent Shaun Suisham and even perhaps Matt Stover today to kick for the coaches.

Speaking of Reed, the 26 yard field goal miss in which he said the turf moved is up on for you to see and disect for yourself.

In the latest edition of Chalk Talk, Bob Labriola and Tunch Ilkin break down some of the key plays from the Steelers 39-26 loss to the Patriots.
